Daijiworld Media Network - Thiruvananthapuram (SP)

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 8: In an incident reported from Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district, the wife of a youth who was found to be roaming around in his motorbike in violation of lockdown clamped in connection with coronavirus disease, filed a complaint with the police.

The district has many coronavirus cases. The man lives with his wife separately. Instead of being with wife, he used to frequent the house of his parents in his motorbike. The wife called the local station house officer, gave the registration number of her husband's motorbike and asked the police to register a case for violating lockdown norms.

The police who treated this as a family dispute tried to dissuade her but the lady said that coronavirus infection is plaguing the area and her husband is risking his health by moving around frequently. She also expressed the fear that she might contract this disease from her husband.

The police thereafter registered the case and served notice to the youth asking his personal presence in the police station.

We all go out to bring essential items, however roaming out without reason is a clear violation of lockdown. He should be kept in jail quarantine for one year.

Lockdown violation is not a family issue. Best opportunity for ladies to discipline husbands this time around if they are enjoying too much freedom locking their wives at home all the time.
