The Union government has set up the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund), a public charitable trust in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Why not simply rename PMNRF as PM-CARES, given the PM's penchant for catchy acronyms, instead of creating a separate Public Charitable Trust whose rules & expenditure are totally opaque?

Look at the difference between the income & expenditure of PM Relief Fund from 2014-2019. Looks like there are some 2200 crores lying idle in this account.

PM-CARES fund not transparent and not disclose the amount on day to day basis on the government portal with the expenditure and allocation of the donate amount?

I appreciate Nitte Group donation to the national crisis.
