Mumbai: Bantara Sanga regional committee distributes ration among needy

Mumbai, Apr 15: The regional committee of Bantara Sangha Andheri Bandra, here extended a helping hand to the people in difficulty during coronavirus lockdown.

The committee in association with the president of Bantara Sangha, Padmanabha S Payyade and office bearers distributed to 28 families adopted by it provision like rice, wheat flour, sugar, tea powder, biscuits, cooking oil, pulses, potatoes, onions and more that will last for a month. They also provided masks and sanitizers. The committee delivered ration and necessary items to other poor families in the vicinity.

Dr R K Shetty, Andheri Bandra regional committee president said that they are distributing more than 2,000 food packets per day to the needy in Andheri east subway, Aremilk colony temple and MIDC. The food is being distributed to labourers, orphans, beggars and destitute.

Regional committee vice-president, advocate R G Shetty, honorary secretary Ravi R Shetty, joint secretary Ramesh D Rai Kayyar, regional committee ladies wing president Vanita Y Nonda, regional committee social welfare committee president Prabhaker Shetty, donation collection committee president Yashwanth Shetty, members committee president Lakshman Shetty and other office bearers, members and others are engaged in the noble work.
