Mumbai: Thanks to Rons Bantwal, NRIs in distress get timely help

Mumbai, Apr 27: Three persons, Strivatsava V, Durgaprasad Gowda and Deepak Bannur, were facing hard times at Sharjah UAE because of COVID 19 lockdown. Nishanth Billampadavu, who happens to be a Vittal-based journalist, had contacted Kannadiga Journalists Union Maharashtra state president Rons Bantwal, and explained the harrowing times the three were going through and requested him to help them.

Within minutes Rons contacted his friend settled in Dubai, Anil Pinto from Aikala, Kinnigoli. Through him, full details of the three was collected. NRI Forum - UAE president Praveen Kumar Shetty Vakwady, was contacted for help. Shetty personally spoke to the people in crisis, contacted Rons Bantwal, and assured to him that the rescue, relief, care and support needs of the three would be taken care of.

This incident has instilled confidence in the people who were feeling dejected, with nowhere to seek help from. Nishanth Billampadavu has hailed Rons and Dubai-based Samaritans for their noble gesture.
