Mayor of Mumbai dons nurse’s uniform to show support

Mumbai, Apr 28: With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases among the healthcare workers in the city, Mayor Kishori Pednekar donned on a nurse’s uniform to keep their morale high. The mayor, a former nurse, visited the BYL Nair Hospital and interacted with second and third-year nurses. She also has plans of visiting the Sion hospital on Tuesday.

Pednekar went to twitter to boost the morale among the healthcare workers by tweeting, “AnythingForMumbai We can’t do work from home, we are on the field for you, stay at your home, take care.”

In her video message, she talks about how the doctors, nurses and staff members are fighting the pandemic by taking care of the infected patients and hence, she felt the need to stand by them and motivate them.
