Mangalore: Symposium on Konkani Translation in City

Mangalore, Jan 22: A symposium on Konkani translation will be held at CODP hall, Nantoor, here from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm on Sunday January 24, by Samvad, a city-based organization promoting translation under National Translation Mission (NTM).
Dr William D’Silva will be the key speaker at the symposium on Konkani translation.
‘Signet of Sardars’, an English translation of ‘Sardaranchi Sinol’, original Konkani historical play authored by veteran Konkani novelist Kadap, will be dedicated to the society on this occasion.
Fr Francis Rodrigues, editor of ‘Raknno’ Konkani weekly, will release the work, ‘Signet of Sardars’, published by Richard Sequeira.
Richard Sequeira and Irene Fernandes will be the chief guests.
