Mangalore: Three-day Staff Development Programme in SJEC Inaugurated

Mangalore, Jan 29: The Visvesvaraya Technological University sponsored three-day staff development programme (SDP) on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) organized by the department of computer science & engineering of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) was inaugurated at Bethania Hall on Friday January 28 at 9.30 am.

Demian Antony D’Mello, head of the department and co-ordinator of the SDP welcomed the dignitaries and the delegates. The chief guest of the event Dr Ananthanarayana V S, professor, department of information technology, NIT-K, Surathkal enlightened the gathering about the importance of Service Oriented Architecture and called for the faculties to do further research in this field.



The director of the institute Fr Valerian D’Souza wished the event a great success. Principal Dr. Joseph Gonsalves asked the participants to make the best use of the workshop.

Assistant director Fr Henry Mascarenhas and Prof. Jayakar Hegde, dean academics also attended the inaugural ceremony. Raghavendra Achar, co-ordinator of the event delivered the vote of thanks.
