Udupi: Dist Legal Awareness Campaign to Assist Poor Flagged off

Udupi, Feb 6: District and sessions judge K B Chengappa flagged off legal awareness campaign, Kanoonu Saaksharata Ratha from District Court Complex here on Saturday February 6.



Speaking on the occasion, he said that the campaign aims to create awareness on legal issues among the poor. The campaign will reach remotest villages of the district, he added.

The campaign apart from creating legal awareness will also receive complaints from the poor in these villages and help the grievances reach the concerned officers for necessary action.

Superintendent of police Praveen Madhukar Pawar was the chief guest. The campaign reached the district after successful travel in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
