Kinnigoli: Decennial Ceremony of Ujwal Women Organization Held

Mangalore, Feb 9:
The concluding ceremony of the decennial celebration of the Ujwal Women Organization of Kinnigoli parish was held at Little Flower School here on Sunday February 7.

Presiding over the programme, Fr Alfred J Pinto, parish priest of Kinnigoli Church congratulated women for doing good work in parish and to the needy. He advised the women to come up at the national level and serve the country.


 

One of the chief guests, Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Fr Muller Charitable Institutions in his inaugural speech said that while educating our children, we must teach them the moral values along with the education to build a happy family. He suggested women organisation to work in this regard.   

Fr Ronald Coutinho, director of women organization, Mangalore Diocese, , Leena Roche, president of women organisation of Mangalore diocese, Sr Agnesia, director of Shubada and Sanjeevini Institutions, Lionel Pinto, vice-president of Kinnigoli Parish Council and Edna D'souza, president of women organization, Kinnigoli Deanery were the other chief guests.
 
Presidents who served the organization for the last 10 years were honoured. Directors and elder members who served the organization too were honoured on the occasion.
 
Gretta D'Souza, president of Ujwal Women Organization welcomed the guests and the gathering. Irene Rebello, president read the decennial year report. Philomena D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Philomena Sequeira compered the programme.

Cultural events too were held as part of the programme.
