Kasargod, Feb 16: In a strange incident, a groom collapsed and died on the night of his marriage. The death came on the night of Sunday February 14.
Shashidharan T N (37), son of the late Narayanan and Vellachchi from Kotoor in Muliyar village in the district, was earlier working here, and had recently returned after working in the gulf for a few years. He married a girl from Bela near Neerchal, on Sunday.
After he suddenly turned ill and collapsed on Sunday night, he was shifted to a local hospital and then to Mangalore, where he could not be revived.
