Mangalore, Feb 16: The prohibitory orders clamped within the jurisdiction of Suratkal police station since a week, have further been extended by three days from Monday February 15. The orders were clamped in view of a few incidents that threatened to disrupt peace in the area.

“This step has been taken as a precautionary measure. The shops and establishments are now permitted to close at 9 pm instead of the earlier 8 pm from Monday onwards,” said station house officer, K U Belliappa.
