Bangalore: First Regional CCR leaders’ Conference Held

Bangalore, Feb 22: The first regional Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) leader’s conference was jointly organized by the National Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services and the Bangalore Catholic Renewal Services for the near East, Middle East and South Asia at SAIACS CEO Centre, here from Thursday February 18 to Sunday February 21.

The Theme of the event was ‘Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch’. More than thousand people participated in the event.


 

Program included praise and worship shared by Bangalore Music Ministry, UAE & Qatar group, Sultanate of Oman, Joseph C V and Kuwait team, Winston Colaco, Goa, Ranjana and Stanis from Sri Lanka.

Holy Eucharistic celebration was conducted by Fr Bernard Moras Archbishop of Bangalore, Dr Sebastianappan Singaroyan, Bishop of Salem, Paul Hinder, Bishop of Arabia, Fr Valerian D’Souza Episcopal advisor to the CCR in India.

Prayer for healing was also conducted. Talks on various subjects like Power evangelism, call and commitment in leadership, empowered leadership, the challenges of CCR today, the vocation and mission of ISAO in the region and so on were held. Peter Thompson from Canada delivered the keynote address.

Worship evening was inaugurated at the Redemptorist seminary grounds by Archbishop Bernard Moras. This was followed by message of Fr Valerian D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus of Poona,  Simon Rodrigues, Felix Ali Chendra from Indonesia, Brendan Woodnutt from New Zealand, Gerard Francisco from Singapore.  Book named ‘Lenten reflections’ was released by Archbishop Bernard Moras.  Another song book, ‘Songs of songs’ composed by Martini and family was also released by Dr Bernard Moras.

    This is a great event for Charismatic Renewals of Bangalore and dream of Pope John Paul II is coming true. Let us all christians pray for this intension in one accord let the fire fall again to renew the face of the earth. Cast our net into the deep water.
