BEST double deckers travel along EEH for first time

Mumbai, Jul 31: BEST double deckers for the first time travelled on the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) as a new form of special service to the office-goers on Thursday.

The service runs from Mulund (east), near the Bhandup pumping station, along the EEH to Sion.

The double-decker is allowed to accommodate only 45 seated passengers and five standees.

BEST started double-decker services on Colaba-Dadar and Cuffe Parade-Dadar for office-goers. It plans to start another from Sion to Kamani Junction, Kurla, a report in TOI stated.
