Mumbai: Senior lady files case against son for torture, stealing pension

Mumbai, Aug 13: A son accused of allegedly taking her ATM card and withdrawing her pension since the lockdown, a mother, an 80-year-old from Vasai had to resort to filing a case of physical and mental torture.

The victim, Kamlini Kamble phoned the police at Manickpur to report the issue. The police visited the residence and booked her son Shirish. However, no arrest has been made so far.

According to the woman, the torture began by her younger son since the lockdown after he had lost his job. The woman received a pension of Rs 9000 upon which the son had eyed. Her husband, who was a government employee, had died in 2001.
