Mumbai: Man caught traveling with fake essential ID in local train

Mumbai, Aug 17: After the Mumbai authorities had mandated only essential service staffers to travel by local trains, ID cards were issued for the travel. On Saturday, August 15, a shoe owner was arrested for traveling with a fake essential ID.

Jalaludin Ansari (33), was arrested while getting off at Wadala around 4.18 pm, senior inspector Rajendra Pal said. Ansari hailed from a slum at Antop Hill.

The ticket checker, upon suspicion verified the pass and found out that it was bogus and resembled from the Public Health department of BMC.
