Udupi, Mar 25: Any deeds that are done for divine love, equals to great sacrifice offered by sages, said scholar Santoor Sadashiv Rao.

Rao was speaking at the valedictory function of a week-long religious preaching and Yakshagana talamaddale programme held at Mahalingeshwara temple, Muddanu, Inna, near here. “Ramayana scriptures have wealth of information for the mankind to lead meaningful life, which can assure them success,’ said Rao. He urged to organize Rama Navami programme in all mutts.

Yakshagana talamaddale programme based on nine episodes of Valmiki’s Ramayana was held for 9 days.

Sri Mahalingeshwar temple managing trustee Vishwanath Bhat, Maila Srinivas Bhat, Vadiraj Madmannaya, temple chief priest Raja Bhat, temple manager Satish Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Chandrahas Shetty and Shankar Amin among others present. The programme was organized by Bhargav Trust, promoted by temple on the occasion of Rama Navami.
