Mangalore, Mar 27: St Joseph Engineering College in the city hosted the Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter-Collegiate Single Zone Women’s Volleyball Tournament on March 23 and 24 in its premises.

A total of 29 teams participated. BNM Institute of Technology, Bangalore, and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, reached the finals. BNM Institute of Technology won the final match, 25-23, 25-13. Lorine of BNM Institute of Technology, Bangalore, was declared the Best Setter of the tournament, whereas Aparna of the same college was awarded the title of the Best Attacker. Farzanieh of BMS College of Engineering was adjudged the Best All Rounder.
All the Players and coaches for the tournament were accommodated in the campus of the college.
