Mumbai: Four arrested impersonating cops-Kidnap, rob couple

Mumbai, Oct 2: A couple from Nalasopara were kidnapped by four men who impersonated themselves as cops and robbed them on the night of September 28. The victims were a construction contractor aged 27 and his 24-year-old wife who were later set free. The police claimed the act to be an outcome of personal enmity, however, the couple has denied knowing the abductors.

Narrating the incident while lodging a complaint at Tulinj police station they said that they were threatened to get into the car by the abductors.

Then they were taken towards Kashimira and robbed off their cash and gold ornaments, as narrated by the couple. They stated that the man was made to alight at Kashimira while his wife was dropped at Nalasopara.
