Shiv Sena leader Raut says not 'vindictiveness in TRP scam busting'

Mumbai, Oct 10: Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena leader on Friday October 10 rubbished allegations of Mumbai police acting in a vindicative manner in busting the Television Rating Points (TRP) manipulation racket.

Raut told reporters, "Mumbai police took a courageous step to unravel this scam. This is just the beginning...everything will be unravelled soon."

Questioning on the scam amount Raut said, "Scam worth Rs 30,000 crore has happened and why are the people quiet? Who is behind all this? Where has all the money come from?" he asked.

He further said, "The Mumbai police force is professional. No action was taken by them out of revenge or vindictiveness. But the manner in which channels functioned targeting the MVA government and the Thackeray family, isn't it vindictiveness?"

He congratulated Shobha Deshpande for staging a protest infront of a jeweller shop for refusing to talk in Marathi and said that she stood for respect of Marathi language.

    Heartiest Congratulations to the Shiv Sena and the Mumbai Police for unearthing this MEGA SCAM OF TRP RATINGS.

    Those aligned with the BJP were under the impression that they had total immunity from any criminal action and any criminal liability given that all central agencies were meant only for the opposition parties and their leaders. States were considered powerless to persue the high and mighty of the ruling party or their cronies.

    More and more states ruled by the opposition would mean more and more skeletons tumbling from the BJP Cupboard.
