Karkala: Police Arrest Two, Seize Explosives


Udupi, Apr 24 (The Hindu): The police said on Friday that two persons had been arrested for illegally carrying explosives in a gunny bag at Banglegudde in Karkala taluk on April 22.

The police had tried to stop the motorcycle they were riding, but the duo sped away. The police chased them and seized the explosives. The accused have been identified as Sabir Ahmed, a resident of Ajekar-Marne village, and Kariya Koraga, a resident of Sanoor village. A case has been registered at the Karkala police station.
