Bangalore, Jun 1: Reacting to the reported breaking down of the understanding reached by the JDS with the Congress relating to the ensuing Rajya Sabha and legislative council elections, BJP state president, K S Eshwarappa, wished that the leaders of the two parties fought with swords and sickles in their hands. “Let them fight between themselves. We have no objection whatsoever,” he said, when his reaction was sought to the development.

“I have never taken these two parties seriously. They arrive at understandings and break them at their whims and fancies. I will never take them seriously,” he claimed.

He said that his party has fielded candidates for the legislative council on the basis of the its membership strength in the assembly. “We are capable of ensuring victory for all our four candidates,” he explained.

Chief Minister,B S Yeddyurappa, asked the Congress and the JDS to extend cooperation towards continuing with the set practice of electing legislative council members from the assembly, unanimously.

JDS is such a miserable party, they are a bane to the people of Karnataka.
I hope they get defeated in all elections and get out of Karnataka
they cannot cooperate with anyone or be trusted either. Congress is cheap and corrupt with negative energy in all the leaders.
