Mangalore: Heavy Rains Predicted in Coast

Mangalore, Jun 4: Other than light drizzle experienced in some parts of the twin-districts, Karnataka coast remained almost dry on Thursday June 3. The sky was overcast and the gentle breeze gave an indication about the onset of rains, but that was not to be.

Several places located in southern and northern hinterlands received good rains. Places like K R Pet in Mysore district, Kushalnagar, Virajpet, Somwarpet, Chikmagalur, Mysore and Bangalore experienced some rain.

The meteorological department has predicted moderate to heavy rains to lash coastal Karnataka and several places in southern hinterlands during the period ending on Saturday morning.
