Mangaluru: Yakshagana artiste Govind Bhat presented Sri Kadri award

Mangaluru, Dec 28: Main Yakshagana artiste of Kateel Mela was presented Sri Kadri award at a programme held at Manjunath Colony grounds near Kadri temple here.

Founder of Balayakshakoota Kadri Ramachandra Bhat Elloor said that Govinda Bhat who has three decades of experience as an artiste serves Yakshagana with dedication and sincerity and is a model for artistes.

Corporator Manohar Shetty Kadri, corporator Shakila Kava, Yakshabodhini Trust trustee, Raviraja Acharya, organizer entrepreneur, Kunjathodi Vasudeva Bhat, Kadri, Deepa K S Ruthvik Alevooraya and Samhita Alevooraya were present.

Deepa K S read the letter of felicitation. Patrakartara Sangha secretary, Jitendra Kundeshwara compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.

A special Yakshagana play was held as part of eleven year’s services by Kunjathodi family.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kateel temple priest Vedamoorthi Laxminarayana Asranna, district Dharmik Parishat member, Giriprasad Tantri and Vipra Samagama Vedike president, P Ramakrishna Rao visited and offered prayers to the deity.
