Mumbai, Jun 4: Dr Augustine F Pinto, education and founder chairman of St Xavier’s Group of Education institutions and Ryan International Group of education institutions, has been chosen for the Rajeev Gandhi Environment Award.
Indian Nationalist Congress will confer the award to Dr Pinto during the one hundred and twenty fifth World Environment Day here on Saturday June 5, stated Ashokrao More, executive president of environment wing of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress in their press release.
Maharashtra CM Ashokrao Chavan will present the award to Dr Pinto during a glittering function scheduled to be held at Ravindranath Tagore Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Dadar (West), stated spokesperson Nitin Kale.
Dr Augustine F Pinto is a native of Neerude in Mangalore taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka. He is a leading educationist and has contributed significantly for the education sphere of our country. He was the former Sheriff of metro, chairman of National Development Foundation and currently serves as the editor of ‘Hello Student’ monthly bulletin.
