Bangalore: Advocate Preetam Kumar’s Disappearance – Another Suit Filed

Bangalore, Jun 5: Mother of Preetam Kumar, a young advocate from Mangalore, who went missing suddenly during January this year, has filed a case relating to the mysterious disappearance of her son. It may be recalled that recently, the High Court had dismissed the habeas corpus petition moved by Preetam’s parents, duly asking them to cooperate with the policemen in their investigation.

The High Court issued notice to the state government. In the suit, the petitioner has stated that her son went missing year last year, and that she strongly believes that he had been abducted and murdered. “My son used to love the daughter of Raviraj, a government official working in Mangalore. I believe that the disappearance was caused because of this relationship. Moreover, this official is a relative of an influential politician from the district,” she has said in the petition.

After hearing the arguments of the petitioner’s advocate, the High Court ordered issuance of notice to the state chief secretary.
