Mangalore: ‘Kala Sangam’ Conducts Inter-Parish Cricket Tourney

Mangalore, Jun 9: ‘Kala Sangam’, an organization to promote Konkani Theater under St Joseph’s parish, Jeppu, organized an inter-parish men’s and women’s cricket tournament here recently.
Thirty teams from parishes under the city deanery participated in the event.
The prize distribution function was held at the parish hall.
Jeppu parish priest Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, St Joseph’s Asylum Industrial Workshops director Fr J B Crasta and Santhosh Sequeira Kankanady were the chief guests on the occasion.
The men’s cricket team of Mariyashram, Talapady, won the tournament in the final tie with Cascia parish team.
The women’s cricket team of Jeppu parish won the tournament in the final tie with Angelore parish.
