UK Whisky brand enters India

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IANSlife): UK's Whisky brand 'The Famous Grouse' has made its entry into the Indian market and will be available in select stores across Delhi, UP, Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab, Goa, and Assam.

Brought in India by Kyndal Group, the spirit brings together the finest ingredients creating a natural drink from handcrafted casks.

The brand joins the growing bottled in origin standard Scotch category in India which clocked category sales of 5,82,000 cases in 2019 as per International Wine and Spirits Record (IWSR 2019).

The whisky brand has been UK's top-selling whisky for many years and a Scan Track report by Nielsen estimated sales of The Famous Grouse exceeding 71 million pounds in the UK off-trade in the 12 weeks to January 2020.

Commenting on the launch, Pushpanjali Banerji, Brand Director at Kyndal Group said: "We are proud and delighted to bring UK's favourite blend of the finest malts and exceptional grain whisky, The Famous Grouse, in India. We are hopeful that with our large distribution network, we'll be able to ensure the finest whisky experience available within a person's reach."

Founded in 1800, the Famous Grouse is known across the globe for its essence of Famous blend: Foundation, Finest, Flavour and Fusion which make it UK's favourite Whisky.
