Mangaluru: Vadhiraja Kalluraya chosen for 'Naadaaje Endowment Prize'.

Mangaluru, Jan 8: Kannada lecturer at St Raymond's Pre-University College, Vadhiraja Kalluraya Kinnikambala has been chosen for the Naadaaje Endowment Prize, conferred in name of scholar Naadaje Narasimha Shastri for critical essay.

Vadhiraja Kalluraya was selected for the prize for his critical essay 'Aesthetic of Kannada Literature' in Yakshagana.

Kalluraya has also written critical essays on 'Devi Mahatme', 'Dhanagupta Mahabali' written by the Agari Srinivas Bhagavatha, 'Kateelu Kshetra Mahatme' written by Shimanthoor Narayana Shetty, 'Vaishalini Parinaya' of Madhur Venkatakrishna, 'Shabharakumar' written by Ganesh Kolekadi.

The prize will be conferred at Naadaje Sirimane on January 17. The prize consists of Rs 10,000 in cash.

Veteran litterateur Chandrashekar Kambara, MLC H Vishwanath will take part in the programme, said convener of Naadaje Prathishtana, V Lakshminarayana Bhat.
