Mangalore: Disbursal of Compensation to Air Crash Victims Continues

Mangalore, Jun 10: On Wednesday June 9, the officials continued with the task of disbursing interim relief to the families of the victims and also to the injured passengers of the tragedy that took place at Bajpe airport on May 22 this year.

Out of the remaining 31 families, Air India disbursed a sum of Rs 1,22,50,000 in total, to 10 families and an injured person. Ten families received Rs 10 lac each as compensation from Air India, and two lac rupees each from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. Injured passenger, Pradip, got two lac rupees as compensation from Air India, and Rs 50,000 from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

The public relations officer of Air India said that it is proposed to complete the disbursal of interim relief to all the remaining passengers and families, on Thursday.
