Mangaluru: Dalit Samiti holds protest, demands transfer of KSRTC DC

Mangaluru, Jan 12: On behalf of Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (Krishnappa faction), a protest was held here on Monday January 11, demanding for the immediate transfer of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) divisional controller (DC) here. The protesters said that the officer is pursuing anti worker policies.

The protest was held near the KSRTC office at Bejai. The activists raised slogans against the DC on the occasion.

State convener of this Samiti, M Devadas, speaking on the occasion said that the officer concerned had been transferred during October last. He accused the officer of continuing to work here by misusing his inlfuence. "Since last December, complaints and petitions are being given about the unacceptable behaviour of the officer. As people's representatives are backing him, the employees ocntinue to suffer harassment from the officer. Therefore he should be transferred immediately ," he demanded.

District convener, Raghu K Yekkar, district women's wing convener, Sarojini Bantwal, and several others were present.
