Bengaluru: Drugs case - SC adjourns Ragini Dwivedi's bail plea again

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 20: The Supreme Court (SC) adjourned hearing of bail application moved by Ragini Dwivedi, a Sandalwood actress accused of being involved with drugs peddling, to January 21.

The bail application moved by the actress, who has been jailed relating to the case, had approached the SC after the high court refused to entertain her bail plea. The bail application had been moved before a three-judge division bench of the SC headed by Justice Rohinton Nariman. The application was adjourned four times in the past.

Ragini has questioned the high court order refusing bail to her. Advocates for the central crime branch have filed objections to her request. Ragini was accused of having connections with certain drug suppliers, on the basis of which she was arrested.
