Udupi, Jan 20: The members of Social Democratic Party of India, Udupi unit staged protest on Martyr’s memorial ground Ajjarkad here on Wednesday, January 20, demanding the immediate arrest of Republic TV chief Arnab Goswami.

Mazeed Uchila, secretary of SDPI condemning the Arnab chatgate said, "He leaked the internal security information. He associated the Muslim community with Tablighi organizations. He was silent over Hathras gang rape case."

"Arnab completely violated Official Secrets Act, Maharashtra government should send him behind bars. A probe should be conducted on this matter," he added.

Iliyaz Sastan, district president, SDPI Udupi said, "Soldiers are protecting the nation on the border. Now there is no fear of external attacks but our internal security is under threat. How did he receive such sensitive information?"

"Arnab should be arrested, he is working for BJP government and is turning out to be quite dangerous for the nation. Let the government take immediate action before anything else happens," he added.

Rafique Polipu, member of zonal committee, Samshuddin Wahab Padubidri, Mohammed Ashraf and others were present.
