Mangaluru, Jan 21: In an accident which happened near Kodakkal Planet Auto Works in Kannur village in the taluk on Wednesday January 20, a motorbike hit a woman. The lady lost her life in this accident.
The deceased was Renuka (30), a coolie by profession. Renuka was walking by the side of National highway 73 to reach the site of her work, when a motorbike which came from the direction of B C Road and moving towards Mangaluru at about 7.50 am hit her. It is learnt that the motorbike was driven recklessly by Muhammed Sadiq.
Renuka suffered serious injuries in the accident. She was admitted to a hosplital but she had already breathed her last. The bike rider too suffered injuries in the accident. A case relating to this accident was filed in traffic(south) police station.
