Kundapur, Jan 21: “Derogatory statements insulting Karnataka state cabinet minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Facebook social media by Anil Kumar Perdoor is condemnable. The suspect should be arrested and suitable legal action should be taken against him,” urged BJP Udupi district chief secretary, Sadananda Uppinakudru.

Speaking at a news conference held at Kundapur press club he said that Anil Kumar Perdoor is a Yakshagana artiste and should have been representing the coastal art and culture. “BJP strongly objects to public statements by him without documentary evidence against the government minister, a leader of simple and sincere calibre,” he said.

“Anil Kumar Perdoor who is at fault should accept it in the public domain. Public insults without documentary support are illegal. A complaint to arrest the suspect and conduct legal action is already registered at Kundapur police station. We have confidence that the police department will act against Anil Kumar. Mass protests will be held in case of police failure,” he said.

Backward class morcha district chief secretary Arun Kumar Bana, district Yuva Morcha secretary, Mahesh Hattikudru, Mandala Yuva morcha secretary, Santhosh Poojary, district Yuva morcha executive member, Navin Kanchan and Rathnaker Kundapur were present.
