Mangalore, Jun 17: R S Shettian, chairman and managing director, Athena Group of Institutions, has been unanimously elected as the state president of Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) during the state-level annual general body meeting held at Shimoga, recently.
John Varghese, national secretary, YMCA, was the chief guest and administered the installation ceremony.
Shettian has been serving as president of YMCA here and also serves as an executive committee member of national council of YMCA, New Delhi.
YMCA is an international social service organization, primarily engaged in promoting education, arts, sports, and cultural activities among the youth through its worldwide branches.
