Bengaluru: Disgruntled migrant MLAs to return to Congress?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 26: An attempt is being made in state Congress party to bring back the disappointed MLAs of Congress, who migrated to BJP and are unhappy with regards to the minister positions and re-allotment of portfolios.

New executive president of KPCC Ramalinga Reddy has made this possibility public. Reddy said that many MLAs, including those of Congress, had left their original parties due to some reasons and attempt is being made to bring them back to the party.

Ramalinga Reddy himself was in the list of MLAs who had planned to resign from Congress and join BJP during the rule of Congress-JD (S) coalition government. He had even tendered his resignation to the Congress party. However, later he withdrew the same after the Congress high command intervened. However, Congress MLAs Muniratna, S T Somashekhar, Bhairati Basavaraju, MTB Nagaraj, R Roshan Bai and Gopalaiah of JD (S) had decided to join BJP believing in Ramalinga Reddy. Due to the sudden change in Ramalinga Reddy's decision, other MLAs had joined BJP.

It is said that most of the migrant MLAs who had joined BJP from Congress and JD (S) are unhappy about the portfolios that are given to them.
