Mangalore, Jun 19: The foundation stone for the Mangalore Taluk Women’s Association Forum was laid by district-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar at Urva Store near the Mahaganapathi Temple on Saturday June 19.
Speaking in his presidential speech, Krishna Palemar said that the dreams of constructing an office for the forum had finally came true. He congratulated the association president and secretaries on their hard work.
The chief guest of the programme was A Shakuntala, deputy director, Department of Women and Child Development, Mangalore, who said that the association should be fruitful in providing required assistance to its needy members.
Mangalore City Corporation Mayor Rajini Dugganna and MLA U T Khader were also present on the occasion.
