Bengaluru: World Day held for disabled, senior citizens

Bengaluru, Feb 15: A programme was held on Thursday February 11 by the department of empowerment of disabled and senior citizens on world Disabled and Senior Citizens Day at Bengaluru Ravindra Kalakshetra.

Deputy chief minister Dr Ashwath Narayana presented awards to special achievers.

Thirty achievers including Mangaluru’s Dr Ashok Shetty B N were presented awards for their excellent service in the sector of the disabled.

Minister of revenue R Ashok, minister of women’s and family welfare Shashikala Jolle, minister of cooperative S T Somashekar, MLA Udaya Garudachar, department director Dr V Muniraju and others were present.
