Udupi: Gold, cash stolen from doctor’s house during his absence

Udupi, Feb 16: Thieves have broken into the rented residence at Laxman Shet compound, Bannanje of Dr Dhanalakshmi H R (37), psychologist at district hospital, Udupi and decamped with cash and gold ornaments.

The doctor had gone to Mysuru on February 12 at 9 pm. He saw on his return on February 15 at 5.45 am that the front door of the house was broken open. When he went to his bedroom, he saw that a wedding chain and earrings together weighing 29 grams and worth Rs 1,16,000 and Rs 25,000 cash were missing.

A criminal case under serial No. 23/2021 IPC sections 454, 457 and 380 is registered in Udupi city police station.
