Beltangady: Bangarapalke tragedy - MLA hands over Rs 5 lac compensation to victim's family

Beltangady, Feb 18: MLA Harish Poonja on Wednesday February 17, visited the residence of Sanath Shetty, who died after he was trapped under mud following a landslide at Bangarapalke Badamane Abbi Waterfalls in Kudremukh National Park of Malavanthige village on January 25.

Sanath's mortal remains were traced on Tuesday February 16, 23 days after constant search operation.

During his visit, the MLA also handed over Rs 5 lac compensation from Natural Disaster Relief Fund to the family members.

Sanath's parents, brother, relatives, and representatives were present.
