Kundapur: Pending salary of Santvana Kendras amounting to Rs 15 cr released by govt

Kundapur, Feb 18: The government has released Rs 15 crore of the total salary amount of Santvana Kendra staff that was pending since the pandemic. The permission to run the centres was issued through Mahila Mandalas but the monthly salary of the staff was not released once the lockdown was imposed. President of Mahila Mandala Okkoota, Radhadas had submitted a request to the woman and child welfare department minister Shashikala Jolle and muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

The request was submitted personally when the chief minister had visited Anegudde recently. The chief minister, who received the request, had signed for the release of the amount and directed that the same be released within three days. The amount that was due to 198 Santvana Kendras had remained pending due to technical reasons. It was released on February 15.
