Mangaluru: Capt Karnik demands apology from former chief ministers

Mangaluru, Feb 19: BJP state spokesperson Capt Ganesh Karnik, addressing a press meet here on Thursday February 18, who has charged former chief ministers, Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy, of issuing irresponsible statements about Sri Ram Mandir construction, has demanded apology from them to the people of the state.

"For the noble cause of putting together funds for the construction of temple dedicated to Lord Rama, the collection campaign is being conducted in a transparent manner. All classes of people are contacted for this purpose. But the former chief ministers are trying to find problems with this, which is condemnable," he stated.

Karnik said that Kumaraswmay has been sidelined and his party has survived only in a few districts. Karnik accused Kumaraswamy of having issued the statement for the survival of his party and accused him of having issued this statement as part of divide and rule policy. He also said that Siddaramaiah had issued statement for cementing his political future, and condemned him.

BJP district general sectetary Sudhir Shetty Kannur, and district spokesperson Randeep were present.
