Beltangady: Bike hits pedestrian, retired village accountant dies

Beltangady, Feb 21: A man was killed after he was knocked down by a bike on the evening of Saturday, February 20.

Ujire resident, retired village accountant Chandra Mohan Rai (80) is the person who lost his life in the accident. He was returning home after going for a walk.

Chandra Mohan Rai was taken to a private hospital in Ujire and later shifted to Mangaluru for advanced treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries.

Chandra Mohan Rai is survived by former zilla panchayat member Sunanda Rai, son, daughter and family.
