Moodbidri, Feb 22: “Chief priests should worship the almighty like children. Those who worship are Archakas or chief priests. The difference between worship and puja is not known at present. Those who offer pujas are also called pujaris. Though the position of Archakas is high, all the temple Archakas are not rich. Some of them are very poor but they do their duty with dedication,” said Kateel temple genealogy chief priest Harinarayana Asranna. He was speaking in a programme held to present Viprabhooshan award to Alangar Ishwara Bhat. Ashwathpur temple trustee, L V Raghunath presided over the programme.

Hirgana Kundeshwar temple trustee, Jithendra Kundeshwar, state Dharmika Parishat member, Kashekodi Suryanarayana Bhat and Bhahmana Abhivraddhi Mandali director, P C Srinivas spoke.

Trust managing director, Vedamurthi Yajneshwar Bhat, Indiramma, trustee, Shivananda Bhat and trustee, Vishnumoorthi Bhat were present. Former minister Abhaychandra Jain felicitated Ishwar Bhat.
