Udupi, Feb 24: Although some newspaper reports say that additional charges are levied for confirmation of local address at the time of vehicle registration, the regional transport officer here, Gangadhar, clarified that no additional fee is levied for confirmation of local address.
"No additional charges other than the fee as already prescribed is payable. When Adhar card is provided, that is enough for confirmring local address," he stated.
He said that for the new registrations of all the vehicles, it is mandatory to file applicaitons online and details of fee are available in parivahan.gov.in website, and receipts are issued for all the charges, he stated.
