Mangalore: Rains Continue to Pour in Coast, Hinterland

Mangalore, Jul 3: Dakshina Kannada district received normal rainfall on Friday July 2. Rains played truant in the afternoon in most of the places. Honnavar and Manki in Uttara Kannada district recorded 20 cms of rain, the highest in the state. Many northern and southern hinterlands including Chikmagalur and Kodagu districts too experienced good rains on Friday.

The rain was considerably more in Kundapur and Karkala taluks apart from Subrahmanya and surrounding areas in sullia taluk. A release from the meteorological department predicted that the same climate will continue in these areas for two more days.

No reports of any untoward incidents or loss to property because of rains have been reported.
