Kundapur, Feb 24: “The rally by foot that began at Hejmady to create awareness against amendments to Land Reforms Act, Labour Act and APMC Act by the state and central government will conclude at Byndoor on February 27 at 2 pm. State Congress president D K Shivakumar will be delivering a concluding speech,” said former MLA K Gopala Poojary. He was speaking at a press meet here on Wednesday, February 24.

"Former chief minister Siddaramaiah had set the rally in motion. The rally will reach Kundapur on February 26 and to Navunda from there. It will proceed to Byndoor from Navunda on February 27 followed by concluding programme," said.

"There are several issues we condemn of the government that are impacting the coastal region, such as the toll gate problem, deemed forest problem, Kasturi Rangan report, Akrama Sakrama etc. Fishermen have not received oil for the last three months. We condemn the policy of the BJP government and demand that justice is provided to the people," Poojary demanded.

Byndoor block president, Madan Kumar and Vandse block president, Pradeep Kumar Shetty Gudibettu were present.
