Udupi: Sri Lankan citizen’s stay at lodge - Case registered against owner, staff

Udupi, Feb 26: A police case has been registered at Udupi town police station against Udupi Partha Lodge owner Shubhalaxmi, receptionist Vasanth Nayak and Lodge manager Prabhaker. They had allegedly provided accommodation to Sri Lankan citizen Kanilan Nadaraza(59), resident of 75th main street, Balangoda city, Srilanka at Room No. 511 of the Lodge from November 13, 2020 but failed to submit to the police station C form there is mandated in the regulations deliberately neglecting despite having the knowledge about it.

The case is registered under crime registration No. 30/2021 under IPC section 176 and 7(2)14 Foreigners Act.
