Mangaluru: Cloudy weather in coast - Lightning, rain in Kasargod district

Mangaluru, Mar 12: Various parts of coastal Karnataka experienced cloudy weather on Thursday morning. In Karkala, clouds were formed in the sky in the evening. Light showers were experienced in Hirgana village and nearby areas of Karkala taluk.

The twin districts are experiencing sweltering heat since the last few days. There has been sudden change in the climate.

Lightning and heavy rain were experienced indifferent parts of Kasargod district on Thursday morning. Places like Kanhangad, Pallikere, Uduma, Bekal and Kumble experienced rainfall. As water got blocked on the road at Uppala, Mangalpady and Pratapnagar, traffic was hit. Sea erosion worsened, and therefore boats which were engaged in fishing, were brought to the seashore.

Highest temperature of 32.9 degree Celsius was experienced the city while the lowest was 22.4 degree.
