Mangaluru: Ullal taluk Beary literary and cultural conference to be held on Mar 27

Mangaluru, Mar 12: "Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy will hold its first literary and cultural conference in association with ‘Melthene’ (Beary Eltekar Pinne Kalavidamyaro Koota, Deralakatte) at Madani PU College premises, Ullal, Alekala on March 27," said academy president Rahim Uchil.

Speaking at the news conference held at the academy office on Friday, he said that this is the first Beary literary conference after Ullal taluk was announced.

Poet Alikunhi Pare is selected as the president of the conference. Padmashree Harekala Hajabba will inaugurate the programme. Academy president Rahim Uchil will preside over the programme. Welcome committee president, Dr K M Muneer Bava will be present.

Ullal municipal councillor, Asghar Ali and Ismael U A Madani, institute vice-president Haji U K Ibrahim, Melthene president Mansoor Ahmed Samanige, Beary academy former member, Fazul Asaigoli, state minority development corporation member, Siraj Mudipu and state Haj committee member, Hanif Nizami will take part.

The concluding programme will be inaugurated by MLA U T Khader. Ullal municipal council president, Chitrakala, vice-president Ayub Manchila, Mangaluru taluk panchayat president, Mohammed Monu, The Mysuru Industries Limited president, Santhosh Kumar Rai Boliar, state Nomad and semi nomad development corporation president Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu, Dakshina Kannada district Wakf advisory committee president Kanachur Monu, Ullal Sayyed Madani Darga committee president Haji Abdul Rasheed Ullal and Beary Sahitya Academy former president B A Mohammed Hanif will participate in the conference.
